Vote for bars, win money to drink at them
There's nothing like showing your support for your favorite bar, unless that bar is a piece of Old City scaffolding on which you're doing pullups, which always ends with you getting shot and the jury letting the dude off because you were an ass. Luckily you don't need biceps after you win lots of money, from Thrillist's Bar Madness.
Giving your favorite watering holes a chance at fame and you a shot at fortune, Bar Madness pits the best bars from across the country in an NCAA Tournament-style bracket, and yes, Jay Bilas is already complaining that UAB got in over McFadden's. In a preliminary round, you've gotta vote in two of your faves from 12 Philly contenders, who'll be pit against heavy hitters from around the country until the brackets narrow down and a champion is crowned; the grand prize for you is a $2011 bar tab, which you'll be entered to win every time you vote, and remember: if you don't, P. Diddy will kill you.
Brotherly Lovin' entrants include Landmark Americana, McGillin's Olde Ale House, Chickie & Pete's, and Red Zone Old City, which is what they call it now, because you need your deodorant if you're gonna be doing pull-ups/shooting people.
