Pladra
Not-grungy flannels out of SF
Doing just one thing very well can ensure your success, as evidenced by Charlie Whitehurst's uncanny talent for keeping track of Matt's helmet while he's on the phone with the offensive coordinator. Though it would be nice if he could hold clipboards, too. From a dude whose singular talent is decking you in flannel, Pladra.
Created by a outdoorsman who says his favorite color is plaid, this Bay Area-based co. does just one thing: produce field-ready takes on Seattle's signature shirt that come in ten lumberjack-ish colorways, and're lined with whimsically colorful outdoor scenes featuring wild animals and game -- whether you Hate It or Love It, that's just how (they) do. The made-in-San Francisco long-sleevers are 100 percent flannel, and come in two original cuts: the medium weight Elli, which is rock-able in Buckeye Blue, Prospect Red, Bruised Blue, Whiskey Brown, and Diggins Gold; and (in colors like Captain Blue, Fog Grey, and Old Green) the faux-suede elbow-patched heavyweight Leon, which definitely doesn't Spink(s). The collars, back yokes, and cuffs of each shirt are graced with one of the aforementioned outdoor scenes, which include a shadowy lake at sunset spotted with loons, fishing bears, a cougar walking through the snow, and a watery mallard-focused one invoking "Duck Season", also what they call any season of Basketball Wives featuring Kenny Anderson's ex.
Additional fancifying comes via custom buttons adorned with Pladra's antler logo (which's also stitched on the breast/sleeve), and soon they'll be rolling out additional American heritage-inspired classics like work shirts, hunting jackets, and ear flap hats, which could be tough considering Charlie's already got a helmet and baseball cap to deal with.
Pladra's online shop's the only place you can hunt yourself up one of these sweet flannels
