Brittany Lincicome grabbed sole possession of second place, carding a 4-under 68 to end at minus-9 at the charity tournament, in which all the prize money will be donated but will count in the players' rankings. Many of the players have pledged donations to Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief. Third place belonged to Mindy Kim (67) at 8-under 136 and world No. 5 Cristie Kerr (68) held fourth place at minus-7. The game was played under rainy conditions in Santa Clara, Calif., and Beckerman's low, hard shot bounced on the wet turf and off the fingertips of Earthquakes goalie Jon Busch in the 64th minute. RSL (1-0-0) finished with the second-best record in the MLS last season at 15-4-11, but was ousted by eventual Western Conference champs FC Dallas. San Jose (0-1-0) made an unexpected run to the West final last season where the 'Quakes lost to Dallas. (UPI) -- Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will meet for the championship of the BNP Paribas Open after both logged semifinal victories Saturday. Djokovic remained undefeated this year, raising his record to 17-0 with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 victory against 16-time major champion and former world No. 1 Roger Federer at Indian Wells, Calif. Nadal, the current world No. 1, reached Sunday's final with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Argentine Juan Martin del Potro. Djokovic downed Federer in a bit over 2 hours, breaking the Swiss superstar five times and saving six break points. Federer managed only a 58-percent winning percentage on first serves. Nadal, meanwhile, won 81 percent of his first-serve points and 58 percent of second-serve points against del Potro. The Spaniard will be trying to claim his third Indian Wells crown after winning in 2007 and 2009. But Djokovic is red hot, coming off his titles in Australia and Dubai this year.
