British police arrest demonstrators

BRISTOL, England (UPI) -- British police say a demonstration turned violent and forced them to arrest 15 people outside a Tesco Express store in Bristol.

The incident is the second time police and protesters have clashed in the past few days. Last week the Tesco Express store was damaged when demonstrators started tossing rocks, bottles and other objects.

Royal newlyweds write wedding prayer

LONDON (UPI) -- Britain's Prince William and Princess Katherine asked God to help them serve and provide comfort where needed in a prayer they wrote for their wedding day.

The prayer was read by the Rev. Richard Chartres, bishop of London and dean of Her Majesty's Royal Chapel, during the wedding ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

Marrakesh bomb toll rises to 16

MARRAKESH, Morocco (UPI) -- A cafe bombing in Morocco's capital that killed 16 people and injured 23 others has the hallmarks of an al-Qaida terror attack, government officials said.

The blast initially killed 14 people in Marrakesh Thursday, but two other victims died of their injuries overnight, the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported.

Communications Minister Khalid Naciri told reporters most of the dead were tourists.
