Nintendo 3DS Connects with Best Buy Wireless 'Hot Spots' in Retail Stores


Nintendo and Best Buy (News - Alert) will give Nintendo 3DS users automatic wireless access at 1,000 select Best Buy locations starting on June 7, according to a company statement.


The service will provide access to content via the system’s Wi-Fi functionality, such as the SpotPass feature. CNET notes that Nintendo's SpotPass feature automatically finds wireless “hot spots.”


The Best Buy service will feature offers exclusive to users, as well as additional entertainment content, gaming extras and movie trailers.
