	Discrete Trial Trainer The discrete trial is a teaching method focusing on a behaviorally-based instruction routine used in teaching children with autism or one round of trying a behavior. A particular trial may be repeated several times in succession, several times a day, over several days until the skill is mastered. There are typically 4 parts to the method: The instruction cue to which the teacher would like the child to respond. The response behavior that is the target of the instruction. A reward designed to motivate the child to respond and respond correctly. To simplify the task and reinforce set up, software has been developed to duplicate the process.
