Telecom equipment major Alcatel-Lucent announced that it will enhance the efficiency and reach of China Unicom's 3G network in more than ten provinces to address the growing demand for mobile broadband coverage in China.



Alcatel-Lucent announced that it has unraveled a new technology that can ensure greater capacity, faster connections and reduced congestion on the Web with respect to Internet applications and services.



The Long Term Evolution (LTE (News - Alert)) technology has brought cellular communication to the fourth generation (4G) era. To support the operational efficiencies of all-IP LTE deployments, Sandvine, a provider of intelligent broadband network solutions for fixed and mobile operators, announced that it is working with global Internet service providers to prepare their networks for upcoming 4G LTE rollouts.
