Madjef's MusicLab
Here to beat some sense into you
Tired of not being able to lay down pro-quality hip-hop tracks wherever you are, or just bored with Fruit Ninja? Scrub in to Madjef's MusicLab: an iPhone app developed by Frisco-based WorldLink in collaboration with "Mad" Jeff Taylor, a producer and sound engineer who's worked with artists including Michael and Janet Jackson, Boyz II Men, Stevie Wonder, and Barry White, so you know he's Qualified to Satisfy You. And also co-design your iPhone apps. The features:

Beat Kits: Developed by Taylor specifically for this app, each of these contain tons of sound-snippets from 0.2 to 1.5 seconds, giving you enough options that you can really switch things up (don't change things up, or you'll find yourself in the desperately funny predicament of avoiding sex with Leslie Mann).

Beat Pad: Once you've got the talking Trans Am kits selected, make up to 15 different beat patterns per song with this interface, which'll let you mix 27 sounds simultaneously. After you've set the patterns, you can adjust their tempo, and add or remove sounds as they loop.

Record Your Own Voice: Or that of someone who can actually sing!

Sequencer: Define when you want each of your beat patterns to appear in your song, mix in your lyrics, and assign specific beats to loop. Just don't loop yourself into a cage of funky beats, or not even Whodini will be able to break you out.

After you've completed your opus, play it on your phone or computer, or email it out straight from the app, so your friends won't have to wait to hear "Don't know about you but this ninja hates fruit/ Into Granny Smith a poison blow dart I will shoot". Plus various beats and loops.

It's good for pros and amateurs, so whether you're gunning for a career, or just to be the most obnoxious iPhone user on the block, check out this app
