Creatures of Comfort New York is pleased to present No More Reality, a temporary bookshop and exhibition organized by Textfield, Inc. The bookshop and exhibition will take place in Creatures of Comfort’s project space at the 205 Mulberry Street store.

In conjunction with the bookshop, there will be an exhibition of work by artists that Jonathan Maghen has collaborated with through Textfield to realize various publishing projects. The exhibition will feature the works of Phil Chang, Arthur Ou, Eduardo Sarabia, and Anna Sew Hoy.

For the bookshop, Maghen has made a selection of current and archived titles from Publishers represented by Textfield Distribution: Aki Books, Amir Zaki, ART2102, Boabooks, C Magazine, Carter Mull, Carvalho Bernau, Christoph Keller, Condiment, Cornerkiosk Press, der:die:das:, Ein Magazin über Orte, Fellows of Contemporary Art, Fillip, FormContent, IFS Ltd., Karl Haendel, Keith Bormuth, Kunstverein, Laura Bartlett Gallery, Laura Palmer Foundation, Manuel Raeder, Midway Contemporary Art, Mono.Kultur, Nieves, Occasional Papers, P & Co., Paper Monument, Participant Inc., Passenger Books, Peres Projects, Project Projects, Rainoff Books, Regency Arts Press, Schnauzer, Shane Campbell Gallery, Slavs and Tatars, Textfield, The Kingsboro Press, Tramnesia, Vermont College of Fine Arts, Vier 5, W/— Projects, and others. In addition, various publications from Maghen’s library that have informed his work as a designer will also be on display.

Textfield, Inc.is an independent publisher and distributor of artists books, catalogs, editions, monographs, multiples, and periodicals. The focus of their publishing catalog involves the development of close working relationships with artists, galleries, museums, universities, and institutions to design and publish books and other printed matter.

The bookshop and exhibition title has been appropriated from the Philippe Parreno series and work, No More Reality (the demonstration), 1991, which is a four-minute video of children demonstrating, and chanting the slogan and title ("No More Reality").
