Another one of those really sore spots is all the extra chirps, squeaks, and prangs that can happen when you bend a note.
Really, muting out unwanted sounds in general is quite a task when you get right down to it. For every 1 note you play, there is 5 other potential offending strings that must be controlled... and once you add a little overdrive to your tone it gets that much harder to keep everything silent.
So anyway, I have this video that was originally supposed to be part of the Blues Guitar Unleashed course, but I couldn't fit it on the DVDs and in the end it got cut. I've reformatted it and put it up on the blog at
I'm glad it worked out the way it did actually, this is a really good video and I think will answer a lot of questions and really change the way you approach some things.
