Sangoma Acquires Key Assets of VegaStream in $1.4 Million Deal


As part of an investment into new marketing, sales and product development initiatives, hardware and software components provider Sangoma has acquired the key assets of VegaStream Group of Companies, a U.K.-based manufacturer of VoIP gateway appliances.


Sangoma will add VegaStream’s business operations and also welcome its staff, which comprises mostly of R&D and sales and marketing personnel. In addition, Sangoma will integrate VegaStream’s products into its portfolio, which boasts a reputation for efficiently and rapidly delivering supply chain management and orders to customers.


"VegaStream has some truly great products, people, customers and distributors,” said Bill Wignall, president and CEO of Sangoma, in a statement. "As the IP communications market evolves, Sangoma is re-inventing itself in order to become a significant player in more segments within that market.
