Skype, which is in the process of being purchased by Microsoft, will add GroupMe’s customers to its more than 175 million users. “This has been a remarkable year for GroupMe, and we believe that this is a big win,” the company said in a blog posting. “And not just a big win for GroupMe and our amazing investors, but also for New York City.
