And what a crop it is. Last year, as you may recall, we chose a group of international students from schools that included IMD, London Business School, and CEIBS, among others. This year we went with a "nontraditional" group. What's nontraditional? Well, there's a journalist who wants to save his dying industry. There's a "jack of all trades" from Google who's hoping her MBA earning power will make it easier to raise a family. And there's a nonprofit pollster who wants to use her MBA to make a difference in the world. There are six writers all told, and each in their own way is a far cry from the typical MBA student bound for a job in investment banking or consulting. As we follow their B-school adventures in the months to come, it will be interesting to see if they retain their goals, or if the B-school experience itself changes them. Whatever lies in store, we wish them the best of luck on their individual voyages of discovery.
