Strobe CEO Delivers Keynote Address about HTML5 at ITEXPO - HTML5 Report

Foliomag.com reports that Hearst Magazines, a unit of Hearst Corp., is planning to revamp all websites with HTML5 technology. According to Mark Weinberg, vice president of programming and product strategy for Hearst Digital Media, the company plans to implement the HTML5 platform on the majority of its websites throughout the fourth quarter and into 2012.
Two months ago, Strobe's CEO Charles Jolley headed to the Big Apple to discuss HTML5 at DevCon5, and this morning, Jolley made his move west to Austin, Texas, to once again discuss this burgeoning trend. "Long-term, HTML5 is by far the best way to distribute and discover applications," Jolley told a packed exhibit hall Wednesday morning during his keynote address titled "Why HTML5 Trumps Device OSS," taking place at ITEXPO West 2011. "It's the easiest way for consumers to find out about new software, new content you have created and to use it to start businesses. It's so easy to adopt; it will become the predominant way people will write software."
AirWatch, a global player and innovator in mobile security, mobile device management and mobile application management, recently introduced the industry's first HTML5-based MDM platform.
