Whey-fed pork and suckled veal are available open stock at Union Square, Lincoln
Center, Pleasantville, Dvoor, and on the farm. We will put more inventory up on
the website next week, as supplies allow.

Jean-Louis Blue--now available by preorder and at the farm
After a two year hiatus, we are pleased to offer our Jean-Louis Blue once again.
There is a limited quantity in this release, with some more coming out of the cave
later this fall.
Jean-Louis Blue is made by an ancient Visigotic method (really!) and does not suffer
from the excessive saltines and metallic tinge that so many other blues impart.
This is a blue cheese that can be enjoyed as is, without sweet port and pears or
a salad beneath it.
Because this release is limited, we are offering it by mail order and farmers' market
pre-order only: you can order it online for shipment, or you can specify to pick
it up at your favorite framer's market, or at the farm, as you prefer. There will
be a limited amount available at the farm store this weekend, while it lasts.

Sunday, November 6th, Pig Roast at the farm.
Yeah, we know it's the NYC Marathon, but we're running out of autumn weekends!
Once again, we'll be roasting a Bobolink whey-fed pig in a "Caja China", the famous
Cuban pig-roasting appliance with a curious name, which is essentially an above-ground
portable pit, so the pig is roasted by slow moist top-heat, and then seared crisp
right before serving.
The event will be held under our party tent, and will include a tour of the farm,
various seasonal roasted side-dishes, and of course bread, cheese, and undoubtedly
some local ale from the Ship Inn.
The tour will be at 11 AM, with lunch served at about 1 pm. Please note that this
year we have kept the price down to a Zeitgeist-friendly $40.
