Best of the Best
In case you've been out soaking up the last bits of summer before it turns into slightly less-summer, check out the cream of the crop you might have missed

Emailed on the 14th: Social Cycle
Constructed in the magical land of Amsterdam, where bikes rule and force cars to work as their indentured servants, Social Cycles are essentially human-powered, trackless party trolleys that're just now reaching San Diego by way of an enterprising lady who tired of the doldrums of tax work and decided to put the pedal to the metal on a new project... mostly by letting others turn way more pedals.
Think you have enough friends to fill this beast up? Find out right here.

Emailed on the 20th: Groggy's
From a dude who spent more than eleventy late nights at Rutgers scarfing down preemptive hangover cures from Jersey's meanest "grease coaches", and another who survived the eternal hangover that is Santa Barbara, Groggy's is a new comestible truck forgoing the latest farm-to-table trends in favor of some of the heaviest heart-stoppers stomachs could ever lust after, all wrapped up burrito-tight in the form of a "Fat Sandwich", also what they call it when you're stuck in the middle seat on a plane between Val Kilmer and the rest of his body.
Check out just how fat these sandos get, right here

Emailed on the 18th: You3dMe
Because it shouldn't require an entourage of monsters and the given name Todd to have a really big-ass head, a couple of Iraq war vets schemed You3dMe to create masks that are essentially just your own head super-sized, or in Todd's case, slightly-larger-than-normal sized.

Emailed on the 4th: La Villa
1646 India St; Little Italy; 619.255.5221
From a self-professed "wine hog" and her two Italian-focused partners, Villa is the latest addition to their Trulli/ Buon Appetito/ Sogno DiVino empire, featuring a transparent-shelved wraparound bar running interference between the indoor dining room and the first alfresco area, a second mural-scrawled outdoor eating space in the back, and a standalone kitchen, which houses a 12-seat chef's table.

Emailed on the 17th: Space San Diego's Super Secret Doors
Available through Space San Diego: 1531 Pacific Hwy; Little Italy; 619.237.0727

Because normal doors are way too obvious/tend to get maced backstage before performing in New Haven, the "experts in downsizing and multi-functional design" at Space San Diego are offering up completely customizable, Harry Potter-worthy concealed doors, so your games of hide 'n seek just got, well, probably a lot longer.
Make yourself impossible to find, right here
