The Return of The Bivouac

If, like most people, you've always longed to go back to the Roarin' '20s, whether for its romantic notion of danger and secrecy, or just because you think it's hilarious to say the word "flapper", hit up the US Grant this weekend, where they're celebrating 101yrs by revisiting the time when they used to smuggle loads of hooch through a tunnel from the bay to their speakeasy Bivouac in order to keep the party rolling, the rooms filled, and the flappers fl...hahahahaaha. Sorry, it's just sooo good.
To get ladies in the mood to wear skirts above their knees and sexily admit they drive cars and listen to jazz, several era-appropriate bevvies will be served up from three booze stations, each featuring a showstopper like the Moonshine Shrub (w/ lemon peel & juice-infused moonshine, sherry, and white sugar), the Dude Fizz with vodka and Navan, and the rye/ Pinot/ lavender water/ pine sugar High Mountain Burgundy Punch.
They'll also feature jazzy sounds from locally based Blue Largo, and, if the egg whites in your Flip aren't solid enough, they'll have a real food station dishing out Vintage Seafood Cocktail with caper and cornichon remoulade, and Herb-Crusted Pork Shoulder Casserole with spatzle, so you can fill your stomach, and keep from sloppily making your own twenties too Rip Roarin'.
