A. LISTER EDITION Action Bronson's New York Why? Because Bronson knows his way around a New York kitchen.
It's a major crisis of the 21st century, figuring out who you can trust, who you can look to for advice. The diffusion of authority. Weird people with their silly opinions on Yelp.
Action Bronson is a rapper from Queens who spent years as a chef in New York kitchens. He once body-slammed a guy for bumping into him on his way to the spice rack. He cuts his yams into discs and candies them with some beautiful homemade marshmallow. He only f*cks with sh*t done tableside.
In other words, we trust him with restaurant advice. Check out his new album with Statik Selektah, Well Done, check out his interview with AskMen and go grab some dinner.
ACTION BRONSON ON NYC'S BEST BURGER Minetta Tavern Why? This is what he'd eat for his last meal.
In His Words: "I've thought this over, and I have to say I'm gonna go to Minetta Tavern for the black label burger. I always say my mother's bagel and eggs, but at the end of the day I want a motherf*ckin' black label burger, man. Straight up, it's just amazing. I don't even touch the fries. I pay $38 to $40 to just have a burger with a tip and drink and sh*t. For one human. It's only one sitting."
ACTION BRONSON ON NYC'S BEST KOREAN BARBECUE Woo Chon Why? "It's the best Korean BBQ."
In His Words: "I love this spot called Woo Chon, across the street from the library in Flushing. It's the best Korean barbecue; I've been going there for years. It's 24 hours. It used to have the coal-burning oven but Bloomberg shut that down because of smoke and sh*t. They use the electric sh*t now. But the little accoutrements are delicious. Everything they have on the side is the best sh*t ever. Korean barbecue, they give you a bunch of little dishes on the side like pickled vegetables; they have the best ones."

ACTION BRONSON ON NYC'S BEST CELEBRATION SPOT Sahara Why? "It's a very f*cking nice Turkish restaurant."
"I like to go to Sahara in Brooklyn. It's a very f*cking nice Turkish restaurant. We always used to go there as Albanian families and go break bread there -- all the parties, weddings and showers and sh*t. That used to be at Sahara."
LAST WEEK: STEFANO MACALUSO'S TOP PICK Girard-Perregaux Why? Because it is the best.
In His Words: "Madison Avenue, between 62nd and 63rd, east side... look for a logo with a Swiss/ French name and a watchmaker perched in a window above the awning: Girard-something...Girard-Perregaux!
In Our Words: We never mind a little self-promotion if the best are promoting the best.
