[Featured event] Tech@NYU's First Ever DemoDay // 5pm-7pm, Warren Weaver Hall 109
Tech@NYU is pumped to announce our first ever DemoDay - a monthly party for the student hackers, designers, entrepreneurs, and other generally awesome individuals of NYC! Join us for demos, a presentation from digital artist and designer Jer Thorpe, a mingle, and other special features. More details to be posted here.

[Speaker] Engineer & Technology Forum Guest Speaker Series: Marissa Mayer // 12pm-1pm, Pfizer Auditorium
Marissa Mayer, the first female engineer hired at Google, will be speaking and receiving the NYU Poly Spirit of Innovation Award. A billionaire before the age of 30, Mayer has been responsible for several of Google's most innovative ventures, including Gmail and its location services. All are welcome to attend.

Gallatin graduate and Executive Director of Love + Water Designs Alexis Fedor will be talking about how she created her company based on her desire to give back to charities. RSVP on NYU CareerNet.

HackDays are 4-6 hour mini-hackfests, a time to be productive and work on a side-project. If you've never coded anything before, Hackdays is a great place to learn. If you're a programmer, it's a nice place to be productive or try a new framework.

[Event] NYU Entrepreneurs Festival // November 11-12, Tisch Hall
NYU Entrepreneurs Festival strives to better promote and support entrepreneurship across the university. The two-day event will feature a mix of Founder Talks, Entrepreneur Panels, Startup Roundtables, an NYU Venture Showcase, and a Friday night party (with open bar!). Get your tickets now!

Are you an awesome web developer who wants to work on a new venture? We are looking for a programmer experienced and familiar with building dynamic websites, capable of creating database, data mining structure, search engine, and social media based websites. You should have a strong background in MySQL, HTML and Javascript, and PHP, along with other infrastructure coding languages. We are looking for a developer who is interested in a long term partnership, who would start off as a contractor on a salary basis. Our founders are Stanford and Michigan graduates who have deep knowledge and experience in venture capital and private equity. Web Development
Deal-based startup in NYC is looking for a web developer intern. Our service is a fusion of Groupon and Opentable, but with a unique twist that helps us achieve our target market. He/She will work directly with the CEO and have a huge hand in advertising, marketing, accounting, and sales, as well as improving and supporting the site. Although this is a non-paid internship, there is a very serious chance that this could lead to a lucrative full-time position.
