Good morning everyone,
Metals appear to be consolidating with prices little changed in overnight trading...This is a bit surprising given the growing concerns about Italian debt....The latest rumors have Mr. Berlusconi resigning amidst a surge in Italian bond borrowing costs...The Italian Prime Minister is about to face a vote of confidence, as did Papandreou in Greece....What a mess.....Regardless, the markets are calm so far......Silver sits at $34.75 unchanged.....Gold is $2.00 lower at $1788.00....Palladium is $677.00 up $3.00 .......Platinum is $1.00 lower and changing hands at $$1660.00 per ounce....The Euro currency is a shade higher at $1.3759 up 16/100ths of cent against the U.S. Greenback.....Crude Oil continues to be firm, virtually ignoring the European worries.....Last trade $95.98 up 46 cents per barrel......Over in the global stock markets we find Asian stocks up .5%....European equities are sharply higher with gains of 2%.....Domestically the Dow is expected to open 90 points higher.....So; once again traders will be relegated to watching the European news wires for directional guidance....In a sad note; Boxing great Joe Frazier has died after a long battle with liver cancer...He was 67 years old......That's it......
