SIZE OF LEAGUE - For the past 3 years, Gateway has had over 200 teams compete in the Winter League. The number of teams allows for a variety of teams of equal skill to play each other. In many age groups there are multiple skill level divisions. Why play the same teams all the time as happens in other smaller leagues?
MORE PLAY TIME FOR YOUR MONEY - Gateway's games are 48 minutes long vs. 40 minutes for some leagues. Over a 10-game season, that is a full 80 minutes more play time per team with Gateway. MORE CONVENIENT SCHEDULING - Gateway has convenient start and finish game times. Gateway also has a proven track record for scheduling back to back games for coaches with 2 or more teams. PROPER WARM UP TIME - Gateway scheduling allows for adequate warm up time before games. This helps to reduce injury vs. other leagues that cram in game times WELL-TRAINED REFEREES - Play Futsal as it should be played – Only Gateway uses experienced, US Soccer futsal-certified referees. 2 referees at U14 and older to assure that the game is played the way it was designed. SUPPORT US SOCCER NATIONAL TEAMS- Gateway is an affiliate of US Soccer and part of the league fees collected by Gateway go to support US Soccer programs such as, WNT, MNT, National Futsal Team and other development programs. Gateway has contributed over $14,000 to US Soccer.
INSURED LEAGUE - Accidents can happen. The outdoor registration from MYSA does not cover injuries while playing indoor walled soccer or futsal.
