FRISCO, Texas (Dec. 19, 2011) - The US Youth Soccer National League http://idevmail.americaneagle.com/link.aspx?l=17&d=227&mid=698003&m=1745 Under-15, Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 Girls teams will resume league play Dec. 31 - Jan. 2 in Orlando, Fla., at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in conjunction with the Disney Soccer Showcase.
Games will feature four of eight girls' teams per division in the U-15, U-16 and U-17 age groups, and all 12 U-18 teams, with the remaining girls' teams competing at the 2012 Player's College Showcase in Las Vegas, March 23-25, to finalize league standings. As with tradition, each weekend of play is held alongside a major college showcase event, creating another significant opportunity for the nation's collegiate, professional and national team coaches to see National League players in an environment of meaningful play. More than 600 collegiate coaches attended the first weekend of National League Girls play in Atlanta and a similar number is expected in Orlando.
"The fifth season of the US Youth Soccer National League kicked off with a great weekend in Atlanta and the competitive level of the league continues to lead the nation in providing proven teams with unmatched competition game in and game out. Each and every match could define who will claim the league title. We look forward to the same level of play in Orlando, in games that will finalize their league standings and possibly advance teams to the National Championships," said Paul Luchowski, US Youth Soccer National League Commissioner.
