Greetings , The bounty of the holiday season isn't necessarily limited to good cheer and gifts. It can also come in less desirable forms like more activity at work. For Detective Armstrong and me, that means more bodies, and this time we've got a man who was found dead in his home. An anonymous 911 caller led us to the body of Jackson Walker, who was wearing a Santa hat and was surrounded by Christmas decorations and other trimmings of the season. We need you to tell us what happened. Who was the killer? What was the motive? What evidence supports your theory? We've given you the incident report, an evidence inventory, a witness interview and more. Now you tell us the story of the crime. Write a theory of the case There is no "correct" answer. Use your imagination and your detective skills to devise the story behind the crime. Submit your tale of what happened and why in no more than 500 words by Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Visit the It was a Wonderful Life Whodunit Contest page to see the complete contest rules and to submit your entry. Write a caption for the photo In this busy holiday season, maybe you don't have time to write a long theory, but you can still help out with this case. Just visit the It was a Wonderful Life Caption Contest page, and submit your pithy description of the crime scene and its story using no more than 25 words. Selecting the winners The Crime Scene staff will review all of the entries and select the best ones based on creativity, plausibility, character and plot. Those top entries will be posted anonymously, and Crime Scene viewers will be invited to vote for their favorite theory and caption.
