FACEBOOK UNFRIENDS COAL!

Dear Indiana,

Facebook unfriends Coal - Click here to watch the video and contribute to Greenpeace!

Victory! Facebook is ready to become friends with renewable energy.[1] Here’s what Facebook has agreed to: [2]

  • Give preference to renewable energy to power their data centers in the future.
  • Collaborate with Greenpeace to promote renewable energy.
  • Encourage major utilities to develop renewable energy generation.
  • Develop programmes that will enable Facebook users to save energy.
  • Engage their communities in clean energy decision.

This would not have been possible without the support of over 700,000 Facebook users all over the world, who asked Facebook to ‘unfriend coal’. [3] Greenpeace could continue this work successfully only because of all the individuals who made contributions.

With Facebook pledging to go renewable, it’s time for others, who profess a commitment to sustainability like Bharti Airtel, to follow suit and act.

Greenpeace is an independent campaigning organisation funded by individuals like you. Your contribution will only help further the struggle to drive a clean energy revolution. You will also get a Greenpeace organic cotton grocery bag as a thank you for your contribution.

Make a contribution now!
