December 8, 2011

Dear Indiana,

Together, we're building something powerful.

When you donate to Food & Water Watch, you're helping us move toward a better world. A world where our food and water will be used to nourish our families and our communities, not line the pockets of large corporations. A world where our essential resources can be managed for the common good. A world where the food we buy in the grocery store benefits our local economy, and where our water is always our own.

We're reaching more people than ever who share this vision. I believe that we can make it a reality. It will take hard work, and many small steps, but we can get there, and we're starting now.

But we need your help to do it. To ensure that we can grow our efforts in 2012, we need to raise $50,000 before the end of the year.

Can you give $50 or more to help us reach our goal?

Food & Water Watch takes no corporate or government money, so we rely on contributions from individuals like you. That's why, if you give $125 or more, we'll send you a thank you gift: an eco-friendly gift bag packed with goodies and resources for you to use and share. You'll get a stylish Chico™ bag, and inside you'll find books, stickers, a stainless-steel water bottle, and other surprises. This bag makes a great gift — or you might want to keep it for yourself!

We've got the opportunity to do great things in the coming year. This could be the year when we require labeling on all genetically engineered foods, so we'll know for certain what's in our food. We're already gearing up to fight for a fairer Farm Bill that protects small farmers, not big business, and promotes sustainable food. And we'll continue our push to ban fracking and protect our drinking water across the country.
But to achieve all this, we need your support.
