Two days ago, one of our volunteer staffers sent me an email with this picture of her cousin's homework. 10 year old Addie's assignment was to answer this question: if you could give any gift, what would you give? Addie chose to give to the Harry Potter Alliance.  It is letters, thoughts, and dreams like these that are the building blocks of this organization. We succeed because of you, our members, and your incredible passion, drive and creativity. We succeed because you believe in our message, from our very oldest members to our very youngest; from those who live right next door to those that live on the other side of the world. Wherever you are, whoever you are – it's members like you and Addie who make our campaigns possible, and for that I cannot thank you enough. This last year, as I watched us build a library, break records for marriage equality, and work to end child slavery, I met with leading educators across the world who believe that what you and I are doing in the HPA is a cutting edge model that is bettering both civic engagement and popular culture - and that it will transform our world.  By making an end of the year donation, you are investing in us expanding this model in 2012 and beyond. Please continue to help us change the story of our world as we use the magic of story.
