Zuckerberg's 'Buffy' Phone Plans to Slay Other Phone Manufacturers


Mark Zuckerberg (News - Alert) has chosen to establish an alliance between Facebook and phone manufacturer HTC (News - Alert) to come up with a new phone codenamed “Buffy.” The result will be a phone that runs a modified version of the Google Android mobile OS. The modifications include complete social integration with Facebook (News - Alert), reportedly more than those previously seen in other “Facebook” phones.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Facebook’s “Buffy” phone will let you use native applications to run Facebook apps like FarmVille and Poker directly. This all happens due to the HTML5 support inherent in the new phone.
