Editors' Choice Review: Motorola Droid 4 for Verizon Wireless

The Motorola Droid 4 has landed on store shelves and it pretty
much delivers on everyone's expectations: LTE, a fast processor,
and more than 11 hours of talk time. Yes, it is big and bulky
but that is what you get when you demand a built-in keyboard. In
fact, PCMag's Sascha Segan says it is the best physical keyboard
he has /ever/ tested on a cell phone, and that dude has
tested a lot of phones. Check out his full review.

How To: Sync Android With Microsoft Outlook

And what if you want to sync your new Droid 4 with Outlook?
PCMag's Jamie Lendino has the step-by-step process. Make no
doubt about it, just about everything in the Android OS is
geared toward getting you to use Gmail, Google Calendar, and
Google Contacts. You can, however, work with Outlook almost
as easily as long as you follow our advice.

Google Wallet Woes Continue

In the last WNN, I described the Google Wallet vulnerability as
only applying to users with rooted Nexus phones. Turns out, the
issue is a little more complicated than that. If you lose your
phone, someone else could root it to use the exploit and there
are other potential vulnerabilities, as well. SecurityWatch's
Neil Rubenking has been digging into this and has more details.
Spoiler: It isn't good news for Google.

Google's Confusing Foray into Consumer Electronics

This is turning into an all-Google "What's New Now." It wasn't
intentional, but neither is it an accident. The company started
with search, but now it is dabbling in everything from online
storage to consumer electronics. That's right, it seems like the
company may build a wireless streaming device a la AppleTV or
SONOS. ExtremeTech's Sebastian Anthony tries to make sense of
Google's recent FCC applications to figure out what Google is up
to. His guesses are better than mine.

The Greatest Toy Robot Ever Invented [Video]

Walking, remote-controlled, projectile-throwing robots? Where to
I buy one? Jaimie Mantzel got WowWee Electronics to build his
ultimate robot walker and this enthusiasm is pretty contagious.
He looks like he just finished an all-nighter and seems to be
filming in some sort of lab. Is that a canister of liquid
nitrogen in the background? Anyway, that is my non-Google story
of the day. Unless Google buys WowWee...
