Precious metals are trading lower in late morning European trading after its currency weakened against the US dollar on mounting Euro-zone concerns - especially the nagging possibility of a Greek default......Investors continue their vigil that Greece will reach an agreement with its international creditors later today, although there are continued worries that the two sides will fail to reach a compromise, which is weighing on the Euro......Last on the Euro $1.3061 down 97/100ths of U.S. cent....Looking at London trading we find Silver changing hands at $33.58 off 17 cents.....Gold is down $17.00 at $1723.00......Palladium sits at $708.00 off $3.00.....Platinum is $14.00 lower at $1620.00.......The debt talks resume today. .....Keep in mind Greece will not receive 130 billion Euros in bailout funds from the EU ; forcing a default, unless Greece comes to terms with it's long list of private creditors....The stronger Dollar and overseas worries are pressuring Oil which is trading at $96.98 down 86 cents per barrel....As for the stock markets; European issues are lower, and the Dow looks to open down 37 points....in other matters of interest; Ben Bernanke is scheduled for more Congressional testimony tomorrow....So that's it......Have a good morning......
