One of the more common questions I get is
in regards to what type of strings I use and recommend.

I'm sorry to say it's not going to be very exciting.
I'd love to tell you about the secret sauce that I
put on my strings to make them bend just right
and the crazy rituals I go through... but it's ridiculous.

I use Ernie Ball Regular Slinky... the ones in the
neon green pouch. They're cheap, they last, and
they work. The Regular Slinky is a .010 guage high E.

Sometimes I run the .009 set on my strats if my
hands are tired.

For my acoustics I run Dean Markley light guage
acoustic bronze strings. Again, nothing fancy at all.

In fact, I've got some D'Addario and Ernie Ball sets
in my string drawer as well. I'm really not that picky
about strings.

I also get a lot of "how do I get a great blues sound
out of my amp?" That's a much harder question to
answer because there are so many great blues sounds.

But I really appreciate the ideas and I'll do my
best to get some videos or audios to show you
more about how the gear works and how to get
some of those tones.
