Most of the area art galleries are open to the public for free, and many hold opening-night receptions on Thurs nights complete with wine and art-world titan sightings. The Tribeca Film Festival, the diverse International film festival that supports emerging and established directors, begins April 18, and festival passes and ticket packages go on sale to the public on March 12. SOHO WELCOMES IVANKA TRUMP Ivanka Trump has opened a flagship boutique and bridal salon for her fine jewelry collection located at 109 Mercer Street, just a few blocks from the hotel. The new 2,400 sq. ft. bi-level space features her collection of heirloom-chic jewelry, and also serves as an event space.
