The Playbook
Changing It Up: Three Lions Food Truck
The Three Men and a Taco brothers have completely shifted gears, retaining only their Carolina pulled pork as they venture into varied pub-grub like gravy-licious meat pies, a Texified sausage roll (ground pork/jalapenos in a puff pastry), and a croque monsieur, "the Rolls Royce of grilled cheeses", because it fills you with the Spirit of Ecstasy, and turns you into a fat cat.
They're already rolling; here's where to find 'em

This Old House: Oak St. Drafthouse
308 E Oak St; Denton; 940.395.1950
Oak's owners have filled an 1886 house with a peerless collection of vintage randomness (of course there's both a 1940s TV and a portrait of some guy who died on the Titanic), and installed custom-made blown-glass tap handles somewhat suggestive of high-end smoky tools and erotic toys. These pump out four dozen beers, half of them Texans (Deep Ellum's Brown Stout & Dream Crusher, Southern Star's Buried Hatchet & Bombshell Blonde...), and the rest ranging from Maredsous Brune 8, to Left Hand 400lb Monkey, to Brother Thelonious, best consumed straight, no chaser, 'round midnight.
Check out those taps... and the rest of the place, by clicking here

Ready to Fry: Chicken Scratch
2303 Pittman St; West Dallas
Chrises Jeffers & Zielke tapped Smoke's Tim Byers to build the menu for this rustic-modern, quick-service shack, where you can dine in, or get a to-go plate, then grab beer from the next-door Foundry and sit at one of their picnic tables while listening to live music. Either way, you'll gorge on fried or rotisserie chicken, mac 'n cheese, and from-scratch, daily changing frozen paletas, a frozen Panetta being Leon once he gets transferred to the Arctic Circle for screwing up an operation involving Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and a really kick-ass RV.
They're open now, so go ahead & get some chicken in you, right here
