According to Marketwatch; Dow futures are edging lower this morning with investors bracing for potentially more consolidation after the market's recent strong run and continuing worries about China's economic outlook.... Traders are also reigniting worries about Europe's ability to halt the spread of the sovereign-debt crisis...As a result Asian markets closed with losses of .5-1.5%....European Markets are currently lower by .8-1%.....Dow futures are indicating a 29 point lower open, adding on to yesterday's loss of 72....The weaker U.S. indication is being tempered somewhat as traders wait to see the results of this morning's U.S. data....
The Weekly Initial Jobless Claims are estimated to be 350,000; up 2,000 from last week.....The 3rd estimate of our 4th Quarter GDP is expected to show growth remained at 3%....
In metals trading we find prices little changed from Wendesday's wrap up levels with many traders taking a wait and see attitude......Silver 2 cents higher at $31.92.....Gold sits at $1656.00 off $1.00.....Palladium remains unchanged at $654.00....Platinum is down $1.00 at $1640.00 per ounce........
In other markets the price of Oil slipped another 64 cents to $104.77 per barrel with traders expressing worries over China's economic growth....Yesterday's unexpected surge in Crude supplies continue to weigh on trading as well....
In the currency markets we find the Euro trading down 46/100ths of U.S. cent at $1.3272......
In other news of interest; the Mega Millions multi state lottery jackpot is now more than a "half billion dollars"....That's $500 million!....I would think it's worth a ticket....That's it....Have a good morning...
