Leather Bag of Coin Pieces of Eight
The Spanish dollar (also known as the piece of eight, the real de a ocho or the eight-real coin) is a silver coin, worth eight reales, that was minted in the Spanish Empire after a Spanish currency reform in 1497. Long tied to the lore of piracy, "pieces of eight" were manufactured in the Americas and transported in bulk back to Spain (to pay for wars and various other things), making them a very tempting target for seagoing pirates. Some pirates were among the richest people in the world. Because the pieces of eight were widely used in Europe, the Americas, and the Far East, it became the first world currency by the late 18th century. Many existing currencies, such as the Canadian dollar, United States dollar, and the Chinese Yuan, as well as currencies in Latin America and the Philippine peso, were initially based on the Spanish dollar and other 8-reales coins.

14 Inch Flying Dutchman Model Ship Few ships can claim fame as readily as can the Flying Dutchman. This ghost ship has been a staple in nautical mythology for more than one hundred years, appearing as a ghostly mystery that none the less heralds great doom and misfortune. Few can claim to know much about the Dutchman; even its origins are a mystery. It simply appears, and then vanishesand those who witness it usually report that it brings ill fortune and even doom, on occasions. Several stories state that the Flying Dutchman can attempt to make contact, with requests to deliver letters to places long-since gone or people long-since dead; accepting these letters is universally accepted to bring doom and devastation upon a ship and its crew. This model features all the hallmarks one would expect of a realistic ghost ship: it is faded and time-worn, and everything about it seems worn by an unrealistic amount of time spent at sea. Regardless of appearance, though, the model is made from high-quality woods, including black walnut, rosewood, and birch, as well as featuring several incredibly precise details. Even better, the Flying Dutchman Model Ship arrives fully assembled, ready for displayalthough hopefully with this model you can simply enjoy the mystery and the legend, without having to deal with the doom and misfortune that typically accompanies looking upon the Flying Dutchman.
