Good morning Andrew,

Global stock markets are steady to higher in the wake of China announcing a surge in March bank lending....The surge is obviously a good economic omen, but it also brings into question further Chinese central bank accomodation in the face of recent Sino economic lethargy....Asian stock markets gained .7% to 1.8%.....Meanwhile European issues are flat to up .5% with traders pleased with China, but they remain worried about their own bond markets.....In the U.S. the Dow is being called to open 43 points higher in advance of today's domestic economic data....

The Weekly Initial Jobless Claims are expected to be 355,000, down 2,000 from last week.....Producer Prices for March (PPI) are expected to be up .3%, calmer than Februarys rise of .4%.....In other U.S. data; the Balance of Trade is expected to clock in with a deficit of $53 billion; up $400 million from the prior ...In simple terms we imported $53 billion more in the month of March than we exported....You need only look at Oil.....

In metals trading we find mixed activity....Silver is 7 cents lower at $31.53......Gold is $1655.00 off $5.00.......Palladium and Platinum are higher by $4.00 per ounce at $643.00 and $1591.00 respectively.....

In other markets the Euro remains quiet at $1.3139 up 3/100ths of U.S. cent.....Oil is changing hands at $103.01; up 31 cents in advance of what traders hope will be a decline in weekly jobless numbers....

In a final note of interest, and in defiance of warnings from the United States and other nations around the world, North Korea is pushing ahead today with plans to launch what it claims is a missile carrying a satellite into orbit.....These missiles are also capable of carrying nuclear weapons....What a world.....That's it....
