Sometimes landing a doctor's appointment takes so long it feels like years, which is an absolute travesty, unless you're going because you have that disease from Jack, in which case it's sort of unavoidable. Get an appointment tomorrow instead, thanks to ZocDoc.

Ingeniously described as "OpenTable for MDs", the one-click appointment-booking service that's cured ailments across the nation is just now launching in Mile High, promising to shorten "Denver residents' 15-day average wait time" to within a day for 40% of all users. Just plug in your location and insurance, and the site'll filter through around 43000 appointments available over the next 90 days; they've already done the groundwork of tracking down every slot from area docs, so all you'll have to do is select the date/time that works for you after choosing your man based on posted "qualifications", "patient reviews", and "photos", totally eliminating the attractive-woman-examining-you-in-your-underwear risk factor. Just to ensure that your phone time with receptionists is kept non-existent, they'll even remind you of your upcoming appointment by email and text, so good luck if you were booking an optometrist because of broken glasses.

If you're looking for a different sort of specialist: perfect, they've got pretty much all of 'em in addition to primary care doctors, just in case you feel ill, but don't really know jack about why.
