The new dividend rate, recently approved by the company’s board of directors, marks the third time Intel has raised its dividend in just 18 months. Intel's dividends and stock buybacks have led to shareholders getting some $112 billion, the company estimated. Overall, the company has a positive outlook on the current year. "2012 is expected to be another year of record revenues for Intel, with strong demand in our core business and significant progress in smartphones and other new growth areas," Paul Otellini (News - Alert), Intel president and CEO, said in a recent press release.
