Good afternoon Andrew,
Metals closed the New York trading day pretty much the way they started; mixed with no leadership to drive prices.....Silver ended the day at $28.40 off 36 cents.....Gold finished $2.00 lower at $1590.00.....Palladium sits at $614.00 up $5.00....Platinum ended $3.00 higher at $1465.00....Volume was light....
Our normally reliable barometers were mixed as well......The Euro is unchanged $1.2799 with the G8 adamant about keeping Greece in the Eurozone stable, but with no clear plan to help it stay......Meanwhile; Oil is up $1.12 per barrel for no discernible reason, other than stocks being higher.....Last on Crude $92.60......
In stock market activity Europe finished its trading day with gains of 0.7% to 1%.....In New York trading the Dow remains higher by 93 points with traders claiming the U.S. stocks are technically oversold and ripe for a rally, with or without cause.....
When we return tomorrow the economic calendar remains dormant, so traders will continue to fixate on the overseas news wires for directional guidance....That's it....Have a good afternoon.......
