Good afternoon Andrew,
Metals and for that matter most markets remain broadly weaker on the day as worries over the growing likelihood of a Greek departure from the European Union dominated trader thinking....The declines come despite a Eurozone Summit slated to start momentarily.....
As of the 1:30 PM New York close we find the Euro currency down another 1.13 cents versus the U.S. Dollar at $1.2568......Crude Oil swooned by $2.11 per barrel to $89.74.....Metals followed suit......Silver closed at $27.60 off 68 cents......Gold fell $30.00 to $1548.00.....Palladium lost $21.00 to end at $595.00....Platinum finished $37.00 lower at $1417.00....Volume was surprisingly moderate.....
As for stock market activity....Eurozone issues closed with losses of 2.5%.....The Dow is down 122 points in advance of the Eurozone summit......
When we return tomorrow the economic calendar moves along with two additional reports for trader assessment.....We get the Weekly Initial Jobless claims as well as the latest Durable Goods Sales....I'll be back in the morning with those estimates as well as any news out of the European Summit.....Keep you fingers crossed.....That's it.....
