Whole-grain week has just ended; were you able to add some new grains to your diet? Keep up the good behaviors you developed last week and the week before. This week, though, we're on to a new challenge: Cook more at home. This applies to all meals and we're not saying to not eat a single thing away from home, but try to make an effort to prepare as many of your own meals and snacks as possible. You’ll not only eat better, you'll save money, too.
A few ways you can get started: - If you think a home-cooked meal takes too long, try one of these 25 healthy recipes — they're each done in 40 minutes or less.
- Keep homemade snacks like granola bars and trail mix at work so you're not tempted to hit the snack machine when cravings strike.
