It's only natural that an English furniture designer who splits time between China and Barbados would open his first US flagship in Dallas, because... well, whatever his reasons, this weekend Timothy Oulton is unveiling a 10000sqft show-space for a style the New York Times dubbed "British Man Cave", and the New York Post dubbed "Redcoat Relaxation!!!!!!!". Feels the Need for Speed: Built from riveted aluminum and ribbed leather, the Aviator Tomcat Chair was inspired by the very same F-14s made famous by Top Gun, and also various wars.

Reads or Pretends to Read: The Old Grand Library Book Case employs English pine reclaimed from "disused" British estates. Each piece is hand-sanded until it's glass-smooth, because as any Barney Miller fan knows, "Ron Glass-smooth" is an impossible standard.

Wants to Travel, but is Chained to His Work: The Globetrekker desk can be traced to a vintage trunk Oulton found at an antiques store. Covered in canvas, it features brass hinges, wood trim, leather handles, and "old seafaring stickers", like the classic "My Other Boat Is Docked In Barbados".
