Manipulation

Wikipedia defines “market manipulation” as the following - Market manipulation is a deliberate attempt to interfere with the free and fair operation of the market and create artificial, false or misleading appearances with respect to the price of, or market for, a security, commodity or currency.[1] Market manipulation is prohibited in the United States under Section 9(a)(2)[2][3] of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and in Australia under Section s 1041A of the Corporations Act 2001. The Act defines market manipulation as transactions which create an artificial price or maintain an artificial price for a tradeable security.

Dictionary.com says…
1. to handle or use, esp with some skill, in a process or action
2. to negotiate, control, or influence (something or someone) cleverly, skillfully, or deviously
3. to falsify (a bill, accounts, etc) for one's own advantage
4. (in physiotherapy) to examine or treat manually, as in loosening a joint

What both Wikipedia and Dictionary.com were missing was a picture of central bankers in general or Ben Bernanke in particular with each definition of manipulation.

Apparently, central bankers are not content with simply supporting banks when they’re in trouble, but they believe they should directly support global stock markets.  Said another way, the main mission is now to directly MANIPULATE the market to force higher share prices.

Thursday gave us yet another glaring example of said manipulation.  The markets were up early, despite another horrendous weekly jobless claims number, because traders believed QE3 was a lock.

In the early afternoon a would-be bombshell was dropped on the market: France was DOWNGRADED.  Evidently, the bombshell was a dud.  The market did drop, but very slowly.  It was so slow in fact; it felt like the shocking factual news was being ignored in favor of hopium.

The central banking cabal couldn’t wait for the market to sink its teeth into another sovereign downgrade.  After all, Spain’s downgrade on Wednesday led to a sustained sell-off and the do-gooders in the central banking cartel couldn’t wait for that to happen again.  Moreover, Greece is holding elections this weekend and there is a good chance that an anti-bailout party will win.

Bernanke & Co. had to act.  The kings of meddling had to interfere, pardon, manipulate. Before the French downgrade got rolling and caused another stock market decline, news came out that the Politburo of Banksters were ready to act – they are ready for global coordinated central planning.

Thank you comrade Bernanke.  Thank you for not even hiding the fact that you don’t give a damn about anything but supporting share prices, which is the opposite of a free market.

Bernanke & Co: to negotiate, control, or influence (something or someone) cleverly, skillfully, or deviously.

Bernanke & Co, guilty of: The Act (of 1934) defines market manipulation as transactions which create an artificial price or maintain an artificial price for a tradeable security.

Trade well and follow the trend, not the so-called “experts.”

Behold the age of infinite moral hazard! On April 2nd, 2009 CONgress forced FASB to suspend rule 157 in favor of deceitful accounting for the TBTF banking mafia.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Futures and Options trading has large potential rewards, but also large potential risk. You must be aware of the risks and be willing to accept them in order to invest in the futures and options markets. Don't trade with money you can't afford to lose. Nothing in our website shall be deemed a solicitation or an offer to Buy/Sell futures and/or options. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those discussed on our site. Also, the past performance of any trading methodology is not necessarily indicative of future results.

DAYTRADING involves high risks and YOU can LOSE a lot of money. Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those talked about in our site.
