New Fiber Optic Network to Link Patients in Upstate New York with Doctors People living in eight counties in upstate New York will soon have access to specialists without having to leave their homes, thanks to the North Country Telemedicine Project, a fiber optic network that is being set up to link residents of rural, underserved areas with medical treatment. FibreCo Telecommunications Deploy Corning's Optical Fiber Corning Incorporated, a supplier of optical fiber, recently announced that its optical fiber will be deployed in fiber optic network of FibreCo Telecommunications, a South African open-access network provider.
