SolveForce , a provider of Fiber Optic Network Solutions (News - Alert), Ethernet Fiber, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and Ethernet over Copper services, recently expanded its partnerships with more carriers in the United States to provide even more services to its customers.

This week, the management of Alpheus Communications has announced the opening of a new office in the Dallas metro area. The company - for those of you who are not familiar with them - describes its services and the expansion in the following terms:

Zayo Group has revealed plans of developing a high-bandwidth network in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The network infrastructure would include a fiber optic cable, which will cover the area from the South Valley to the base of the Sandia Mountains.

CeltixConnect from Sea Fiber links into its own exchange at Halmer End called the Staffordshire Gateway, making use of the Welsh Government's open access network Fibrespeed. This highly strategic gateway allows dark fiber connections northwards to Manchester, directly southwards to London or onwards to Europe over various third party dark fiber providers through SFN's Partner Network Program.

BYTEGRID, a private real estate investment company headquartered in Northern Virginia, recently expanded its power infrastructure at its first data center campus in Silver Spring, Maryland to make it a highly secure, robust and reliable facility. The company has now sought the services of FiberLight to provide connectivity to the new 91,000 sq. ft. data center facility.

The Equinix NY5 data center in Secaucus, New Jersey, is slated to be the new host of NYSE Technologies' SFTI Access Center, offering mutual customers within the facility direct connectivity to SFTI and access to a range of financial markets, market data and post-trade services. NYSE Technologies reportedly launched the Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure (SFTI) network in the U.S. to provide a resilient backbone for securities trading across a number of venues.

Uptime Institute, a division of The 451 Group, says there is a significant rise in data center budgets while many budgets in the IT sector are on the decline.
