Fast Action To Rebuild A Mosque Joplin, Missouri — the site of a destructive tornado in 2011 — lost the only mosque within 50 miles in a suspicious fire on August 6th. A campaign was quickly started to help it rise from the ashes. Less than a week later, the campaign had already met and far surpassed its $250,000 funding goal. Hundreds of contributors, representing over 20 countries, have claimed a perk that will put their names on a plaque at the mosque when it is rebuilt.
