Help out in Florida on Tuesday

Lewis -- Here's a word you're going to hear a lot between now and November 6th: Canvassing. Here's why: It's a huge part of how we're going to win. And by the time you've read this email, it'll also be part of your vocabulary. In case you're not familiar, canvassing means going door to door in communities like yours, talking to your neighbors about what's at stake in this election, and getting them ready to support President Obama and other Democrats this fall. And Tuesday is your chance to get out there and be a part of it. We'll be knocking on doors and making phone calls across Florida. Can you join us in Trinity? Here are all the details: What: Day of action in Trinity Where: 7802 Lachlan Dr Trinity, FL 34655 When: Tuesday, August 14th Shifts start at 10:00 am Canvassing is a major focus of our field program because it represents everything this campaign stands for: bringing new people in block by block, through conversations about what this election means to folks like you and me. There's no better time to get involved than right now, as the other side lines up behind Mitt Romney and his new running mate, Paul Ryan. It's also a lot of fun. There's no better way to meet new people and get re-energized for the fight ahead than by getting out and about in your community and chatting with your neighbors. And if you've never done it before, don't sweat it. Before we start, we'll have an in-depth training to show you the ropes and let you get some practice in with experienced volunteers and staff. Plus, if you know how to strike up a conversation, you're already a pro.
