Looking towards London we find the metals complex trading flat and mixed after St. Louis Fed President James Bullard made comments during which he said any further QE3 would not be near the scale of earlier stimulus programs....The comments seem to be deflating the early morning positive sentiment surrounding the metals.....
Silver is currently 14 cents higher at $30.87......Gold is $1671.00 up a mere $1.00.......Palladium sits at $653.00 off $2.00.......Platinum is $8.00 lower at $1549 per ounce.....
On the energy front Crude Oil is 94 cents per barrel higher as Tropical Storm Isaac makes it's way into the oil production area's of the Gulf of Mexico.....Last trade $97.09......Some traders say the Iranian situation is addding to the buying pressure.......
In the currency market we find the Euro inching higher after Germany's Angela Merkel made supportive comments over Greece, but also in the wake of new bail out snags for Spain......Last on the Euro $1.2529, up 16/100ths of a U.S. cent....
As for the stock markets; the Asian Dow closed lower by 0.65%......European markets are flat to 0.25% higher......In New York the Dow appears to be to headed for a non-descript 13 point higher open.....Last Friday the Dow closed with a 100 point gain.....
