Location Notes: Phat Buddha has been located in this two-story building since 1999, and the building also includes web development and interactive marketing companies and provides recording classes to the public. Some of their clients include the Black Eyed Peas, Nelly, Murphy Lee, Blink 182 and Lil Wayne. Rap and Hip Hop are their specialties. Tours will be given of their state of the art facilities that evening. See www.phatbuddhaproductions.com This Dutch half-timber style building at one time housed a rubber stamp company and a company that produced breathalyzers and urine analysis kits. In the 1800's, this street corner was also the site of the first art museum and art school west of the Mississippi River. It was affiliated with Washington University, whose original campus was located in this area of downtown before moving further west. Wine Notes: .The Pinots are probably the oldest and therefore most genetically diverse of all wine grape families. The best known is Pinot Noir (noir means black in French). This is a red grape responsible for the great wines of Burgundy, but is also planted elsewhere in France. You can also find some good Pinot Noirs from California. It is a delicate red wine with the smooth characteristics of a white and the richness of a red. Pinot Grigio is an ancient mutation of Pinot Noir (grigio means gray in Italian). It is known as Pinot Gris in France and by both names in the U.S and is mostly produced in California and Oregon. Pinot Grigio is a grape with a deeper skin color so it often produces whites with a slight peach-toned hue and silky texture. Italian Pinot Grigio is the best-selling imported table wine in the U.S. Pinot Grigio/Gris varies widely in taste, depending on where the grapes are grown and produced. Pinot Blanc (blanc means white in French) is the true white Pinot and is a fairly recent mutation of the variety. It produces a fairly full- bodied wine that's often hard to distinguish from Chardonnay. Rules: 1. Do not reply to this e-mail.
