Sometimes we forget how fast the communications, Internet and device industries have solved problems that seemed intractable just several decades ago. Steve Jobs believed user experience on a tablet with a screen smaller than 10 inches was not optimal. Some new research by Strategy Analytics suggests that, user experience notwithstanding; there is significant end user demand for screens of perhaps seven inches, even among survey respondents, some of whom already owning the 10-inch Apple iPad. A plan to send an Amtrak bullet train via a proposed 18-mile tunnel under Long Island Sound is picking up steam - in order to provide European-style fast railroad service between Boston and Washington, D.C. I'm going to date myself by saying I've been a space aficionado since a young kid.
