| RIAA Presents: Musicians On Call, Common and Gavin DeGraw! The RIAA recently presented Warner Bros. Records rapper Common, and RCA recording artist Gavin DeGraw, with special Gold & Platinum Program career achievement awards. The one-of-a-kind plaques were awarded during Common and Gavin's respective concerts benefiting Musicians On Call at the organization's Presidential Convention Charity benefits in Charlotte, NC and Tampa, FL. Based in New York with branches in Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, Nashville and Washington, DC, Musicians On Call is a charity that brings the healing power of music to the bedsides of wounded soldiers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, VA hospitals and other healthcare facilities. The events were sponsored by the RIAA, Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, Viacom and exclusive print media partner CQ Roll Call. Want to see more photos from the award presentations? | There's a New iTunes in Town Apple will launch its newest iTunes model in October. Upgrades to the marketplace include Facebook and Twitter integration, allowing iTunes users to "Like" songs on FB and "share" purchases via Twitter. Other new features include the addition of concert information to artist pages and built-in iCloud integration to allow users to access their iTunes purchased music, movies and other content on all of their registered Apple devices. |
